Hi everyone and welcome to Keith and Kara's blog about camping and enjoying the outdoors across Michigan! We've already had some great times last summer, and with four more summers in Michigan to enjoy camping, hiking, and other outdoor fun I figured we should start sharing the knowledge and experiences we've picked up. This blog will help you find your own favorite spots to camp, offer advice, suggestions, and maybe even learn from some of our mistakes. We love hiking, the woods, the water, and having a good time. Most of our camping trips are short, about 2-3 days, as we are working year round. We're based in Ann Arbor but hope to camp all around Michigan.
Some of our first blogs will be based on the trips we did last year, including Warren Dunes State Park in Sawyer, Proudlake Campground in Commerce Township, Taylors Beach Campground in Howell, and Hayes State Park in Onsted. We also stayed in Ohio at Camp Sandusky to go to the Cedar Point Water Park. That was fun because of the people we went with, but not quite the wilderness experience or privacy one would hope for. Our favorite was Warren Dunes!
